Hôtel 20°Sud is on the site of the former Colonial Coconut, a rustic property and one of the island’s first to attract tourism to Mauritius. Artists such as Moustaki and Brassens, and authors including John Michelot who wrote the best selling thriller, Coconut, were regular visitors.
The property was redeveloped in 2005 and is now managed by the proprietors themselves, Anne and Michel Bourgeois, who are proud to extend a warm and personal welcome to their guests, maintaining a very discreet, stylish and friendly ambience, synonymous with the boutique hotel concept. They have lived in Mauritius for over six years, and formerly managed the Ferme des Sources in Belgium.
